Erik Strickland has been a member of the FCVFD since the fall of 2003. He has been serving in the position of Trial Board Chair since 2005 and recently became a member of the Board of Trustees.
Erik is a Montana native and graduate of the University of Montana. Growing up in a community with an all volunteer fire department, Erik has always been interested in helping his community.
After college, Erik moved to Northern Virgina and began looking for opportunities to volunteer. He has worked with the local chapters of Mothers Against Drunk Driving in their community efforts to curb alcohol-related traffic accidents.
Erik is a certified Emergency Medical Technician and Level II Fire Fighter. He is active in assisting with the training of new members of the FCVFD.
In his day job, Erik's serves as the Government Relations Director for the Century Council, a not-for-profit that deals with the issues of drunk driving and underage drinking. Erik currently lives in Washington, DC with his wife Hilary.
