Description
In order to receive certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia as firefighters, the recruits were required to pass two written exams and five practical exercises in addition to meeting the minimum course attendance requirements. Department of Fire Programs Area 2 Manager Bert Roby administered the testing for 10 Falls Church, 3 Cherrydale, 1 Ballston, and 4 Alexandria volunteer recruits with the assistance of instructors from Falls Church and Ballston.
