Description
The career members of the C-shift along with several volunteer firefighters responded to this late evening fire in a large 2-story home in the City of Falls Church. This was the second working fire of the day for the C-shift at Station 6. This fire followed a severe thunderstorm that had units busy across the area responding to downed wires, activated fire alarms, and stuck elevators. Engine 106 arrived to find smoke showing from the attic area. The fire was contained quickly and required overhaul of the attic and roof areas. Engine and Truck 106 were committed to the scene for approximately 2 hours. A number of photographs were graciously provided by a citizen who was at the scene.
