Description
Recent graduates of the VDFP Mayday! Firefighter Down course taught other FCVFD members the skills they learned during their two-day course. The skills are among the most strenuous and difficult activities a firefighter may have to perform. Sixteen members participated at the Arlington Fire Training Academy. The training required members to remove downed firefighters from the bottom of an interior stairwell, out of a window onto a ladder, and perform a rapid assessment of a downed firefighter and drag them to safety.
