Description
The owners of 213 North Oak Street graciously allowed the FCVFD to utilize their property for training prior to demolition. The use of the donated structure allowed recruits invaluable experience in search and rescue, hoseline management, laddering, ventilation, overhaul, and roof operations. Instructors also took advantage of the opportunity to practice their skills at self-rescue and ventilation tactics. In addition to the use of the home, the owner provided a catered lunch from Red, Hot, and Blue BBQ for all of the fire department personnel and neighbors.
