Description
Falls Church VFD units have responded twice to the Filene Center at Wolftrap National Park for major fires. The first fire occurred during construction of the original building. The second fire destroyed the structure approximately 11 years later. Each time, firefighting was hampered by a lack of fire hydrants and multiple engine companies were needed to complete a sufficient water supply.
