Description
Six FCVFD personnel staffing Light & Air 103 as well as Utility 106 responded with numerous other units to Terminal C at Reagan National Airport following a water main break. The terminal, which included areas of a traffic control training center, sustained an estimated $5,000,000 in damage. Volunteers worked with MWAA Fire Department personnel for nearly 7 hours to remove water from sensitive areas of the terminal. This call followed a flooded basement in a single family home and a 2nd alarm house fire earlier in the day that required the response of Light & Air 103.
