Lieutenant Jay Gremillion of the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department is presented with the ACFRA 2001 Firefighter of the Year Award. Jay ran 278 fire and EMS calls during 2000 and totaled more than 1,000 hours of service. In addition to serving as Lieutenant at Company 1, he is also their Training Officer and has been instrumental in bringing a number of new volunteers to Company 1.
