Falls Church Police requested assistance after a Jeep Wrangler that was suspected in a hit and run accident rammed into the trees in the median strip. The initial dispatch made no indication of entrapment, however Chief 186 arrived to find the driver pinned in the vehicle. Extrication took approximately 1 hour as the driver's legs and feet were entangled in the badly damaged front seat area. Units on the scene included Engine 106, Truck 106, Medic 106, Rescue 418, Battalion 112, EMS 112, and Battalion 111. |
