FCVFD Picnic Gala

In lieu of some of the traditional social events for volunteers, the FCVFD sponsored an outdoor picnic at Anderson Park at Fort Belvoir, VA. Thanks to his military service, Deputy Chief Schloss was able to reserve the park area and picnic shelter near Davidson Airfield for this event. Through his associates, Recruit Neumann secured food from Willard's Barbecue of Chantilly, VA. Trustee DeCelle arranged for beverages and various members provided coolers for the event. FF Strickland coordinated the entire event and brought all of the pieces together.
The menu consisted of brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken barbecue, potato salad, cole slaw, green beans, baked beans, and corn bread. All of the food was of homemade quality and had excellent flavor. Willard's Barbecue is located on Willard Road near the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA. |
