Memorial Day Festivities 2006

Fifteen FCVFD members staffed Engine 116, Ambulance 106, Utility 106, Chief 186's vehicle, and a bicycle EMS team in support of this annual event. Due to the high temperatures and humidity, a number of spectators and parade participants were treated for heat exhaustion and a variety of ailments throughout the day. A total of 8 citizens were transported for additional treatment at local hospitals by Arlington, Fairfax, and FCVFD ambulances, including a person who fell from a float and was run over during the parade. |
