Falls Church Community Emergency Response Team - Final Exercise

Falls Church volunteers provided the majority of the instruction in a CERT program for Falls Church citizens. The program, a joint effort between the Falls Church VFD and Falls Church Police Department, is an effort to prepare citizens in the event of a significant emergency such as a hurricane, earth quake or terrorist attack.
The CERT course is taught in the community by a trained team of first responders who have completed a CERT Train-the-Trainer course. CERT training includes disaster preparedness, disaster fire suppression, basic disaster medical operations, and light search and rescue operations.
