Lieutenant Blake and Assistant Chief Evinger led a small group of recruits in a day-long review of skills and offered a few "practical" tips to improve fireground efficiency. Participants practiced donning their SCBA on the move, deploying and repacking the 150' preconnect, deploying and repacking the 200' crosslay, raising 24' and 35' ladders, and completing a single person raise of a 24' extension ladder using a different method than traditionally taught in Arlington. Lieutenant Blake and Assistant Chief Evinger also demonstrated a 2-person raise of a 35' ladder. |
