Lieutenant Blake along with several assistant instructors provided classroom and practical instruction to the recruits who were learning to use their personal protective equipment. The recruits had their first experience using the self-contained breathing apparatus under strenuous physical conditions. Climbing stairs, crawling, carrying equipment, and pulling a weighted sled were all challenges completed wearing full protective equipment. Part of the day was spent at Nottingham Elementary School. |
