Firefighter II - Live Burn

Assistant Chief Fortner and Deputy Chief McCarry orchestrated the live fire exercise at the Alexandria Fire Training Center. Students operated as units to complete the tasks of a first and second due engine company as well as a special services unit. Ten evolutions acquainted the students with tactical decisionmaking as well as practical skills. Additionally, officers paired up with senior members to provide experience in the Incident Command and Pump Operator roles.
The weather created difficult working conditions with a mix of rain, sleet, and snow throughout the day. |
