Vehicle Extrication Training

Using two old vehicles that were donated to the FCVFD by two Arlington career firefighters, the FCVFD hosted a basic vehicle extrication course. The course was taught with the assistance of the A-shift career personnel at Station 6.
The two-day class offered students an opportunity to refine their extrication skills. The first day was used for instruction on the tools and techniques of vehicle extrication. The second day was to allow students the opportunity to practice their skills in realistic scenarios. The grand finale placed a "victim" in the driver's seat of one of the vehicles and students had to gain access and complete removal. |
