Operation Enduring Claus

The FCVFD spreads good will and cheer by decorating a reserve pumper and parading Santa Claus around the streets of the Greater Falls Church area. Firefighters walk along beside Santa's coach to provide candycanes and fire prevention materials to the citizens who come out to greet Santa.
This activity has been taking place for over 20 years and has become part of the holiday traditions of many families. This year's operation was especially important to the FCVFD to "return to normal" following the tragedy of September 11. |
